Our Process

How we work

Our Process

A trust is only as good as what’s actually in it — and whether it holds up when it matters. Here’s how we build yours, from the first conversation through the years that follow.

  1. 1

    A 15‑minute call

We start with a short, no‑pressure conversation to see whether we’re a fit. No legal advice, no pitch — if we’re not the right firm for you, we’ll point you somewhere good.

  2. 2

    Strategic Planning Session

Two hours with Kelly. We walk through your family, your assets, and what you want to protect — and you leave with a real plan on paper. It’s complimentary when you bring your planning materials; if our team assembles them with you during the session, that added service is $750. Either way, you leave with the plan.

  3. 3

    We design your plan

We draft your trust and supporting documents around your family — not from a template. You’ll see everything in plain English, and we’ll choose the right tier together: Foundation, Family, or Legacy.

  4. 4

    You sign

A formal signing with a notary present. Most people feel it when it’s done — they’ve finally taken care of the thing they’ve been meaning to for years.

  5. 5

    We fund it

The step most firms skip. A trust only works if your assets are actually in it. We stay with you to retitle property and accounts and update beneficiaries — so your plan works the day your family needs it, not just the day you sign.

  6. 6

    LegacyView

More than documents. In our Walnut Creek studio we record your story — the voice, the face, the wisdom — for the people who come after. Your story, preserved. Included with the Legacy tier, and available as an add‑on.

  7. 7

    Annual Relationship Review

We don’t disappear after the signing. Through LegacyCircle, we review your plan every year and update it as life changes — births, marriages, moves, a business sale, a shift in the tax law. Most clients stay with us for decades. So do their kids.

It begins with a 15‑minute call.

No pressure, no obligation — just a conversation to see if we’re a fit.
